Marine Solutions for Electric Boats

Today, many thermal motors in boats can be replaced or assisted by electric motors.

One of the most important factors for any user of their boat has to be the general day to day operating costs. Fuel is one of the most costly components and as we all suspect is one that will continue to increase. Along with this is the servicing of the IC engine and many of its parts that will require replacing over time again adding to the expense.

Red Snapper

Red Snapper plug-and-play Diagram

LMC's Red Snapper systems are plug-and-play Inboard Electric Drives available in three power ratings that produce the equivalent to an internal combustion engine. Powered by 48 VDC, they are designed to be coupled directly to the drive shaft.

3 modes of operation:

  • Mode 1: Existing combustion engine drive motor propels the boat.
The electric motor is clutched out of the drive train.
  • Mode 2: The electric motor is engaged and propels the boat.
The internal combustion engine is in neutral "disengaged".
  • Mode 3: The existing internal combustion drive motor propels the boat.
The electric motor is clutched in but is in neutral,
becomes a generator and replenishes the batteries.

Power: 15-20 HP; 25-30 HP; 35-40 HP
