A.C./D.C. servo controllers are for use with motors and precision gear drives designed to function in automation and robotic applications. High performance is key to the "servo package" and normally the "servo controller" is part of a complete motion control package for both rotative or linear movements in a system, machine or robot complex.

TOPS have just launched a series of Universal Brushless Servo Drives. Our BLu drives offer numerous advantages:
  • All Digital Design
  • Sinusoidal Commutation
  • Multiple Control Modes
  • Compact Size
  • 24-48 VDC Input Supply

BLuAC5 Series Servo Drives

The BLuAC5 hardware features a powerful digital signal processor (DSP) coupled to an efficient IGBT PWM amplifier. When combined with the BLuAC5’s sophisticated, yet easy to tune position loop and velocity and acceleration feed-forward, a system capable of extremely high performance results assuring success in even the most demanding of applications.

All BLuAC5 servo drives are capable of running brushless, brush and linear type motors. A timing wizard automatically configures the encoder and commutation timing for virtually any brush or brushless D.C. motor. Tuning is easy with the Quick Tuner™ configuration software, featuring a built-in digital oscilloscope.

Features:

  • BLuAC5-S and BLuAC5-Q can be commanded via ±10 VDC analog Signal or PWM in torque or velocity mode.

  • BLuAC5-Si can be programmed for stand-alone operation with the easy to use Si Programmer™ Windows software (software and programming cable included).

  • BLuAC5-Q can be programmed for stand-alone operation with Q Programmer™ Windows software (software and programming cable included).

  • All BLuAC5 drives can be operated in real time from a host PC or PLC using the Si Command Language (SCL), via RS-232 or RS-485.

  • Drives Brushless sinusoidal, Brushless trapezoidal, Brush or Linear type motors.
